Continued Growth in Production at SSMIC: New Daily Concentrate Record
According to the Public Relations Department, SSMIC has achieved a new milestone in iron ore concentrate production, reflecting its ongoing focus on efficiency and process stability.
On November 1, 2025, the company reached a remarkable daily production of 19,130 tons of concentrate, setting a new record. The previous record, registered on April 6, 2024, was 19,020 tons.
This achievement highlights the progress of the concentrate plant in maintaining stable production and improving equipment efficiency. The new record was the result of several months of technical process optimization, precise planning for continuous supply of raw materials, and strict quality control of feed entering the production lines. By reducing unexpected stoppages and enhancing coordination between mining and processing units, SSMIC managed to exceed the plant’s nominal daily capacity.
Supporting factors included strengthened operational capacity and reinforcement of technical and maintenance teams. Cumulative production data shows that by the end of October 2025, total concentrate output reached 2,609,000 tons, confirming that growth is not only evident in daily figures but also sustained over longer periods. Efficiency programs and energy cost reduction strategies have clearly delivered results.
In pelletizing, similar performance was observed, with total output reaching 2,507,000 tons by the end of October. The logical balance between concentrate and pellet production is crucial for stable operations and supplying raw materials to steelmaking units nationwide, reflecting the consistent performance of both key divisions.
Overall analysis indicates that SSMIC, through the integration of modern technologies, precise process control, and effective resource management, has reached a stage of operational maturity where production records are no longer exceptional events but part of its natural workflow. This success demonstrates the company’s steady progress toward achieving its 2025 goals and strengthening its position in Iran’s national steel production chain.
