SMIC’s Strategic Presence at the INOTEX-FINEX 1404 Exhibition in Mashhad
With the conclusion of the specialized exhibition on Capital Market, Banking, Insurance, Privatization, and Investment Opportunities (INOTEX–FINEX 1404) in Mashhad, a valuable opportunity was created to evaluate the performance and participation of influential companies at this event. Among them, Sangan-Khorasan Steel Mining Industries Company (SSMIC), through a purposeful and content-rich presence, once again affirmed its strategic role as a catalyst for development in eastern Iran.
INOTEX 1404, held in Mashhad, served as a comprehensive and specialized platform to showcase Iran’s economic capacities in the field of investment. As a key player in the country’s steel value chain, SSMIC participated in the event in the Persian Gulf Hall, where it presented a portfolio of its programs, projects, and developmental outlooks.
The visit of prominent figures such as the Governor of Khorasan Razavi, the Governor of Khaf, the Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs, and the Cultural Attaché of Iran and Afghanistan to the SSMIC booth, highlighted the significant position the company holds in the economic landscape of eastern Iran. These meetings led to negotiations and the signing of several cooperation agreements, paving new paths for expanded economic and investment interactions in the mining sector.
From a production standpoint, SSMIC’s performance in the first quarter of the year was notable—with a 67% increase in concentrate production and a 102% surge in pellet production compared to the same period last year. This growth not only addressed production challenges but also laid the groundwork for sustainable development.
What truly sets SSMIC apart is its comprehensive approach to regional development. The construction of the largest pelletizing plant in eastern Iran, infrastructure projects such as the water transfer from the Karat Plain, the Taybad urban wastewater treatment plant, and the development of transportation routes are only part of the company’s initiatives under its social responsibility framework to enhance the livability of the Khaf region.
In addition, SSMIC’s involvement in educational, healthcare, and welfare service projects, along with its support for local contractors, underscores its commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
The company’s presence at INOTEX 1404 was not only a demonstration of its industrial capabilities but also a reflection of its role as a development-oriented actor in eastern Iran—an entity that, by integrating efficiency, social responsibility, and economic diplomacy, offers a modern model of sustainable Iranian industry
